Conor Goff

Born in Dublin, Ireland. Conor Goff had a string of musical ventures in the 80’s and 90’s.

He first started out in PP Layouts circa 1982 before moving on to Pulling Faces where he was a guitarist from 1982-85.  

In 1985 Goff formed The G Squad along with Neville 17 (Keyboard), Derek Kennedy (Bass) and Dave Moloney (Drums).  Goff was lead vocalist and guitarist with The G Squad.  The band released Don’t You Talk / Born To Rock on 7″ on Bus records before changing their name to The Fast Boys in 1986.  They released a 7″ on Bus records under their new moniker the same year titled, Lies / On My Own.

1987 saw Conor Goff form a new band, this time named Conor Goff and The Crash.  They released 3, 7″ records under Forte/Solid Records.  Like a Child / Don’t Tell Me released in 1986.   America / You released in 1987 and Reunion, also released in 1987.

In 1990 Conor Goff and Christy Dignam joined forces and formed Dignam & Goff.  Goff once  told Gay Byrne on the RTE Late Late Show  that he had “finally found the frontman he had been looking for “

The duo had a decent following in Ireland, but had more success in America and were on the brink of a record deal in America when Christy decided to return to Ireland and rejoin Aslan.

Conor never returned to the music scene after this as far as we are aware.
